A PDF Is a Delivery Format

Check the exported PDF, not only the source document. Review page size, page count, trim and bleed, image quality and text. The printer should specify the required PDF standard and output conditions.

Print Production Checks

Acrobat Pro’s print production tools include preflight and output preview. These can help inspect fonts, colour separations and other technical details, but the correct settings depend on the intended job.

Keep Changes Traceable

A correction should be made in the source where practical, then exported and checked again. If a PDF must be edited directly, save a new version and make clear which file has final approval.
